KuzuRegistration

KuzuRegistration is a registration component forked from Alpharegistration. It has some added features, fixes some bugs, and uses the beautiful Moofloor Formcheck for JavaScript validation. Several people liked my changes and asked me to make it available.

Only English and Portuguese languages are currently available but it would not be hard to adapt it to new languages - I'll do it on request.

A few features of Alpharegistration were removed since I found no use for them.

IMPORTANT: This component uses Mootools 1.2, so you should ENABLE the plugin 'System - Mootools Upgrade' - it's a part of Joomla 1.5 in the latest versions. This might break some other extensions that use Mootools 1.1 so test your website first (if need be you can make it work with the plugin disabled but it might be a bit of work).

Hope you like it and I'm looking forward to suggestions on where to go from here. Any problems let me know.

Feature List:

* Mootools JS validation (using Moofloor Formcheck)

* Checks if username already exist using Ajax

* Checks if email already exist using Ajax

* Set minimum age for registration

I'm having some trouble converting to 2.5... not sure how much time it'll take.

The demo was supposed to be up already but it's such a waste of time that I've been postponing until 2.5 is ready...

It's OK! Integrates with Community Builder? If not, please add.

I'll consider adding Community Builder - a few more requests would help, of course.

As for Joomla 2.5, I've been looking into it (shouldn't be too much trouble). My problem is that the number of available free templates is very low and I'm not yet transitioning my websites. I expect this to change soon and I'll update it and validate it soon.

I'm glad you liked it though - would you leave a positive rating in JED? It would help drive adoption and improve the product.

Parabéns Bruno! É tudo que estava precisando, principalmente poder bloquear fake e-mails do pessoal da China. Estou esperando ansiosamente a versão para 2.5

Glad you like it. =)
I'm not sure how much you'll have to wait for the 2.5 version. It's proving MUCH more difficult than I thought it would be and I do have a day job... =(

Hi,

I install the component under joomla 1.5.22 and when I complete the registration it returns:
"The name you inserted has invalid characters"
Why does this happen?

Regards,
Maiky
